The Opportunity
Coronal Technologies is forging a new industrial era by rebuilding how America manufactures the critical metal parts the future depends on. They’re not just building a better machine; they’re building a better manufacturing model: a full-stack factory platform that removes the bottleneck between American ambition and what actually gets built. As they prepared to exit stealth mode and enter a new funding round, they needed a brand that matched the ambition of what they were building and a pitch deck that could carry that ambition into every investor meeting. With a two-week sprint, the work had to move fast, land sharp, and earn the room.
The Work
We partnered with Coronal’s founders to develop a complete visual identity and a story-led investor pitch deck designed to be used immediately and evolve over time. The brand refresh included a new logo system, a refined color palette, and a comprehensive brand guidelines document covering mission, vision, logo design backstory, color, and typography.
The pitch deck rebuilt Coronal’s narrative from the ground up by translating a deeply technical platform into a clear, investor-facing story with updated key messaging, narrative refinement, refreshed visuals, and the new visual identity carried throughout.
Our Approach
We grounded this engagement in three principles: lead with story, build for a brand that has to land with a multitude of audiences, and create a system that grows with the company. The narrative work happened first by stripping the original deck back to the core thesis, identifying where investors got lost, and rebuilding the arc around the moments that would land.
The visual identity was developed in parallel, grounded in the physics of Coronal’s process and the heritage of American industrial design, then stress-tested against use cases ranging from a welder’s jacket to a venture capital slide deck. The result is a brand system designed not for the moment of launch but for the trajectory beyond it.
Impact & Strategic Value
In two weeks, Coronal walked into investor meetings with a complete brand identity, an investor pitch deck rebuilt from the narrative up, and a presentation system designed to scale with the company. The pitch deck transformed from a technology-led explanation into a category-defining business story, sharpening Coronal’s positioning as the platform redefining how American manufacturing serves the next industrial era.
The new visual identity gives the company a confident, defensible presence in a space crowded with sameness, and the brand guidelines provide a durable framework for every future surface — from the post-stealth website to recruiter pages, trade show materials, and investor updates.
This work reflects what Dark Sky is built to do: take a company doing genuinely hard work and translate it into a narrative and a system that earns the audience it deserves.
